Volunteers provide research, documentation, and event support.
More broadly, administrative support helps Sema Hadithi operate effectively and grow.
Additionally, Volunteers assist with managing donor and volunteer databases, grant writing, and volunteer campaigns. They coordinate volunteer schedules, maintain records, and streamline communication with partners and stakeholders. They can contribute to organizing events, tracking budgets, and supporting strategic planning efforts. By helping with tasks like preparing reports, managing correspondence, and maintaining organizational systems, volunteers enable Sema Hadithi to focus on its mission.
Volunteers assist with oral history interviews, transcribing, and archiving stories for programs like the Utah Black Veterans Stories Project.
They can contribute to research for exhibitions, help organize educational events and conferences, or support the production of our history journal. Volunteers also engage with the community by fostering partnerships, preserving historic sites, and promoting our programs.
Sema Hadithi African American Heritage and Culture, DBA Sema Hadithi Foundation, is dedicated to uncovering, preserving, and sharing the stories of African American history, heritage, and culture in Utah.
