The mission of the Utah African American Treasures program is to preserve and celebrate the unique history, culture, and contributions of African Americans in Utah. The program will empower individuals and families to safeguard their stories and artifacts while fostering connections to the larger narrative of African American history in the United States.

What can I donate?
Artifacts are objects that inform on a culture, time-period, and/or community. They include art, tools, clothing, and accessories. The term can also be used to refer to the remains of an object, such as a shard of broken pottery or glassware. Below are some examples of artifacts.
